(Al-Ahzab: 14)However, the term slander is used more for something in the form of trials and tribulations that often deceive and divert many people from the straight path.

In an authentic hadith he said:"Towards the Day of Judgment there will be slanders like pieces of the dark night.
At that time a person believes in the morning and becomes a disbeliever in the evening, believes in the evening and becomes an infidel in the morning.
He sells his religion with the material of the world." (Narrated by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah).This means that if the slander has befallen a person, he will be deceived and then go astray and deviate from the truth and guidance, he will sell his religion for the worlds material!
We have seen many slanders like this today.
